The United States of America is a composite of 50 individual states, each with gambling laws and regulations. The legal gambling age in the US can vary from state to state, and if you’re looking to travel and gamble in the US, it’s essential to be aware of the legal gambling age in each state. Some states allow players as young as 18 to gamble, while others have a minimum age of 21.

The legal gambling age in the US refers to the minimum age at which a person can legally gamble in a US casino. Two factors determine this number: state law and federal law.

State laws are the main factor determining US gambling ages, with each state setting its minimum age for gambling at land-based casinos. On the other hand, federal law only sets a minimum age for gambling in online casinos. It means that players can legally gamble at 18 years old in states where state law allows it, but they must be 21 years old to gamble in online casinos.

If you’re traveling with friends or family and some members are of legal age while others are not, it’s essential to know where you can and cannot go. Check out the US legal gambling age displayed on this website. It is also a list of popular tourist destinations for those under 21 who want to enjoy a bit of gambling action on their vacation!

Recommended US destinations for players under 21 years old:

Las Vegas (Nevada)

The US gambling capital is a world-famous tourist destination known for many things, including casinos. Most of the major hotels and casinos in Las Vegas allow players as young as 18 to gamble. If you’re at least 18 years old and want to test your luck at the slots or tables, get ready for fun!

Reno (Nevada)

If you’re looking for a more off-the-beaten-path gambling destination, consider Reno. This smaller city in Nevada is home to several casinos and offers a wide variety of gaming options for those under 21 years old.

Cruises

Many US cruise lines offer gambling opportunities for passengers 18 and over, so if you’re looking to hit the high seas and try your luck on a slot machine or two, check out some of these options!

Biloxi (Mississippi)

If you’re looking for US gambling options that are more laid back, consider Biloxi. This small town in Mississippi is home to several casinos and hotels, all of which offer various gaming options for those under 21 years old. The legal Gambling Age in Gulfport is 18.

Tunica (Mississippi)

Located just outside Memphis, Tennessee, Tunica is home to nine casinos offering gaming opportunities for those over 18 years old. The US legal gambling age in Mississippi is 21, but the state allows players as young as 18 to gamble at land-based casinos inside its borders.

Native American Casinos

A final option for those looking to gamble underage in the US is visiting one of the many Native American casinos scattered across the country. Many of these casinos have minimum gambling ages of 18 or 19 years old, so they may be a good option if you’re traveling with friends who are all of legal age.

Where not to go if you’re under 21 years old

First, it’s important to note that US players under 21 cannot gamble in federally-regulated online casinos like MI online casino. US players must be at least 18+ or older with a valid ID.

Some US states are also where gambling is illegal altogether, so it’s best to avoid traveling there if you’re not of legal age. These states include Utah, Hawaii, and Texas.

While there are no casinos in Arizona, you can still enjoy the US gambling experience at several different locations. The state is home to some of the most popular land-based and online casino sites in the US, so if you’re looking for US gambling options that don’t involve driving over state lines or flying across the country to Vegas!

For US tourists who want to gamble in Las Vegas but don’t meet the minimum age requirement, there are still plenty of other activities to enjoy in Sin City! The city is home to some of the world’s best restaurants, shopping, and nightlife. So whether you’re 18 or not, there’s something for everyone in Las Vegas.

The US is a popular destination for those under 21 who want to enjoy some gambling action on their vacation. Multiple options are available, including casinos and cruise lines that allow players as young as 18 years old to gamble! Many Native American casinos have a minimum age of 18 for those looking to go somewhere else. However, US players under 21 cannot gamble in federally-regulated online casinos.
