Set Sail!
If you’ve ever had even a remote desire to spend your vacation cruising the sea’s, then now is the right time to act on that desire. MSC has recently launched the stunning MSC Music in South African waters. “Until April 2019, the ship will be setting sail from Durban and Cape Town to various locations around southern Africa, including Mauritius, the Reunion Islands, and Mozambique’s Pomene Bay and Portuguese Islands.”
The ship, with a passenger capacity of 3223 and over 16 decks, has something for everyone. “Dining options include an á la carte Italian seafood and steakhouse restaurant, an authentic Japanese sushi bar, two formal dining rooms, and an all-day world cuisine buffet and pizzeria. On the activity side, MSC Musica offers mini golf, tennis, basketball, virtual games, bowling lanes, children’s activity clubs, a gym, a power walking track, and a Balinese spa. MSC Musica also has exciting nightlife, boasting a casino, bars, dance floors, a cigar lounge and a wine tasting bar.”
During our whirlwind, one night, launch tour, members of the press were treated to time spent exploring the vast ship, a fabulous gala dinner, a stunning show in the ship’s 1200 seat theatre and evening entertainment from Jeremy Loops and Mi Casa.
With barely enough time to get our bearings, we still managed to leave feeling very impressed with the MSC Musica, the crew and the various options and activities on board. I was personally overwhelmed with the sheer amount on food on offer, the size and quality of the theatre and the pool decks – had it not been raining on the day of our experience I would’ve been swimming, sunning and living my best life in the pool decks jacuzzi offerings.
Something massively important to us, were the awesome play areas for kids. Now that we are a family of four, making sure there are activities for kids has a become a travel priority for us. And i’m glad to report that onboard the MSC Musica, your kids will be well taken care of, and they won’t get bored either.
With the plethora of things to do, taste and experience, we’re sure that you will love your time cruising with MSC. One thing we will forewarn you of however, is the queues to get on board. It’s a one time thing, but embarkation does take time, so be prepared to queue for at least an hour or two before making your way onto the cruise ship.
