Don’t discount the power of lessons

Location matters – it’s not all about the skiing
One of the most crucial aspects of your ski holiday is your accommodation. If you can, look to stay within a ski in/ski out chalet. This means that you don’t have to do any extra traveling and can make your way directly from your accommodation to the slopes.
If you can’t find any accommodation that fits this criteria, then look to see if there’s a lift that takes you from the accommodation to the slopes. It’ll still shorten your distance to the skiing area and it’ll mean that you’re able to get up the mountain and onto the slopes quicker than if you had to walk.
Get in shape beforehand
Contrary to popular belief, this is a physical workout. In fact, scrap that, it’s an intense physical workout.
Skiing is something that will make you use muscles that you never knew you hi had. While you might not feel it instantly, you will get tired and as such, if you can prepare your body beforehand, you’ll do your chances the power of good.
You don’t need to invest in marathon-like training, but there are some good ski workouts online that you should at least look at several months before your trip.
Timing is everything
For some travelers, the best thing about a traditional holiday is not having to pay attention to the alarm clock. Unfortunately, when it comes to skiing, this couldn’t be further away from the truth.
The mountains offer the most favorable conditions in the early parts of the morning. This is when there is fresh slow, and less ice that can make your job as a beginner even more difficult.
In addition, if you can be one of the first ones out on the slopes, you’ll avoid the crowds. As a beginner, this is something that you should never discount.
