Rama Rama Boutique Hotel Malacca

Our Room and experience:

The Rama Rama Boutique hotel is a brand new hotel in Malacca (one of our favourite cities in Malaysia) and brings with a very cool concept in modern hostelry. We had an awesome couple of nights there during our last visit to Malacca and found the simple brick wall design to very enjoyable. The minimal design complemented the facilities available and for it’s price – this must be one of the top new hotels in Malacca.

We found the staff extremely friendly to us while we were there and enjoyed the overall experience. While not located in the UNESCO heritage part of the city we still found Rama Rama fairly easy to access as we had our rental car and we also the fact that it was right opposite a mall very convenient for purchasing items like food etc.

Rama Rama is actually fairly close the Malacca River and if you park your car at the bank you can enjoy a ten minute walk into the Jonker Street area along it’s colourful banks. I would recommend taking an umbrella if you do this in the day because of the heat and at night be sure to stop and rest at the musical fountains on the way back.

Our Room was pretty big because we requested the family room – two double beds and a bathroom. There was more than enough space for all our stuff. We found it a little dark with the curtain closed but it was very comfortable – we actually slept better than we do in really expensive hotels!

Best Suited For:

Small families, budget travellers, couples, solo’s (they have funky dorms too)

What we loved:

The modern design, the staff and close proximity to a mall (with a Starbucks!)

What could be improved:

A fan inside the breakfast area would cool us tourists off nicely and some more lighting in the bathroom would be great.

Price:

From $10 per night!

Super trendy and modern.

Our roomy room. So much value for money.

Funky breakfast area

Loving that face brick style.

The Dorm Rooms

Thank you to Mazlan and Rama Rama Boutique Hotel for making our visit possible. As usual, all opinions expressed are our own.
