The last few days before a trip are sure to be hectic. And, the exhaustion isn’t dependent on the trip duration. Yes, whether you’re travelling to the mountains for a weekend or are travelling abroad for a month- it is pretty understandable to be overwhelmed with the end number of tasks on your list.

Now that you’re looking out to alleviate your stress and eliminate last-minute running, this checklist serves as your way out. Here are some things to consider BEFORE setting your foot abroad:

Invest in a Travel Insurance

Many people believe that travel insurance holds importance only when you’re travelling outside of your home country. It’s time to take insurance into consideration if you’ve ignored it so far.

Nevertheless, if insurance piques your interest, then consider a variety of travel insurance options as well as plans. It is vital to know that the major ones cover lost luggage, evacuation, medical coverage, and trip cancellation.

Pick Extra Passport Pages

While this may seem to be the most obvious, it is vital to make sure that you have the correct number of pages in your passport. This saying holds even more critical when you need visas.

Also, make sure that your passport doesn’t have a soon expiration date. Some countries may not allow you to travel, in case your passport is valid for only 6 months.

Get Vaccination Shots

It is always a just and wise idea to visit your medical professional before taking a trip. By doing so, you’ll be able to ensure that your prescriptions are up-to-date. Also, ascertain discussing other medical measures that you need to take. This point holds the maximum importance in the wake of COVID19.

Depending on the country you’re visiting, make sure you know about certain vaccinations. If you’re unsure, then you can always check a guide from the CDC.

Pre-book Accommodations

No matter the type of traveller you are- whether spontaneous, adventurous, structured or carefully planned- it is recommended to book your accommodation in advance. Arriving at a new destination and not having a place to stay will only invite troubles. So, it is always imperative to book your hotels well in advance. Print copies of the accommodation reservation as it never hurts to have a hard copy.

Also, ensure finding a location that’s in proximity with a marijuana dispensary. With this, you’ll be able to buy cannabis online with complete ease and can have it delivered to your hotel as soon as you arrive. All you need to check is the prerequisites of dispensary delivery options.

Have a Survival Kit in Place

Packing a survival kit works wonders in times of emergencies. Some things that must include in your kit are:

  1. Neosporin
  2. Ibuprofen
  3. Eye mask
  4. Headphones
  5. Prescription medications
  6. Sleep aid
  7. Earplugs
  8. Hand sanitiser, and
  9. Bandaids

Notify the Bank of your Destination

Travellers must never forget to do this. Countries like most of Europe are considered safe by your bank. Thereby, the chances for your bank to reject your card are doubtful. But, as soon as you pave a path to an unsafe country and you forget your ATM- your bank will only shut it down only when they’re notified in advance.

The Verdict- Travel Worry-Free

Hopefully, this checklist serves your purpose of planning your next trip with complete ease. Taking a glimpse over the checklist may seem to be a small step right now but will work amazingly well later.

After all, it’ll help you prevent a lot of frustration and stress.
