Recently we had the privilege of heading into Masiphumelele, a Cape Town township, and had the opportunity to witness the day to day life of many South Africans. One of my personal highlights was experiencing the traditional songs of celebration performed by a Sangoma (Traditional Healer) in the heart of Masi.
We left our bicycles and headed on foot navigating the twists, turns and the narrow corridors of shanty and finally arrived to witness hauntingly beautiful African beats and the intoxicating smells of burning Impepho or African Sage.
This is one of my favourite images taken there.
