Whilst road tripping around South Africa we stayed at Jock Safari Lodge in the Kruger National Park and Sibuya Game Reserve in the Eastern Cape. Immersing yourself in the wild is always a thrilling and magical experience as every day and each hour, the wild has a different story to tell. We were lucky to spot a couple of different animals with their young and who can resist the cute, young ones of any species?

Wildlife & their young.
This baby white was so curious as we approached in the game vehicle.

Wildlife & their young.
Baby elephants are by far my absolute favourite.

Wildlife & their young.
Elephants are very protective of their young and stick close to them when closing the road near vehicles.

Wildlife & their young.
Cheek to cheek.

Wildlife & their young.
Warthog about to cross the road.

Wildlife & their young.
This was before two lionesses stalked and chased them into the bushveld.

This little fellow was so adorable and utterly curious of the vehicle.

Wildlife & their young.
One day, I’ll be tall too.

Wildlife & their young.
A little zebra.

with his mini mohawk.

Wildlife & their young.
Didn’t take him long to earn his stripes.

Wildlife & their young.
Blou Wildebeest.

Wildlife & their young.
Rhinos on the hill.

Wildlife & their young.
They were not too keen to stick around as we drove closer to them.

Wildlife & their young.
These two were part of a big herd of elephants eating and drinking in the semi-dry riverbed.

Wildlife & their young.
Munching the long grass.

Wildlife & their young.
Yet another baby elephant I wanted to take home.

Wildlife & their young.
Two young bontebok playing around before one gets knocked over.

Wildlife & their young.
Time for a drink.

Wildlife & their young.
Young bontebok are completely different in colour to their parents.

Wildlife & their young.
This cutie was guarded by the other females in her herd.

Wildlife & their young.
Really giving those new trunk muscles a stretch and reaching for a top branch.

Wildlife & their young.
This young rhino walked away from his parents at one stage to check us out.

Wildlife & their young.
The only thing cuter than seeing a little rhino…

Wildlife & their young.
is seeing it from behind. That bum with the tiny tail and those chubby legs.
