Gorman Falls

This is a very serene and attractive wide waterfall. It is in Colorado Bend State Park, which is located in the Hill Country area of central Texas. Geographically, it lies 100 miles towards northwest Austin. It is green and beautiful, the ideal place for some quiet time, photography, and hiking. Getting there requires a short 1.5 miles hiking trip so you can plan a day of adventure to visit Gorman Falls.

Gorman Falls is a mineral rich spring, mostly comprising of calcium. The water flowing from Gorman Creeks drops into the Gorman Fall creating the travertine. The fall is 60-foot-high, and the cascading waters drop into a grotto with lush green ferns surrounding it, which make it a remarkable sight. At the park, you can get a guided hiking tour, so make reservations in good time before you arrive there.

Wyler Aerial Tramway

Based in El Paso, Texas, the Aerial Tramway extends to 196 acres east of the Franklin Mountains. The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, which is in Franklin Mountains State Park, operate the aerial trams. You get to explore the area by traveling 2600 ft. in gondolas attached to two cables. The cables are 1 3/8 inch in diameter at a height of about 5,632 ft. above sea level. Historically, the Wyler Aerial Tramway started in 1959, when KTSM radio used them to construct a transmitter tower.

You can drive on the paved roads snaking up the Franklin Mountains too. Explore the three adjoining states and two nations and make memories of a lifetime. For those who want to live at nearby facilities, places like El Paso Marriott and other local facilities are a good and affordable stop. You can book in advance to be sure that you have accommodation. Moreover, there are amazing gift shops nearby to explore.

Hueco Tanks State Park

In the past, people came here to get rainwater that would pool up in the rock basins also known as “Whey-coes” or Huecos. Today, these hills are a marvel and astonishing imagery that ancient people left for generations to visit and witness.

While visiting the Hueco Tanks, you can go for rock climbing, hiking, picnics, stargazing, bird watching, and studying history and nature. There are guided trip arrangements here, and picturesque sceneries you would not want to miss. There are 20 campsites here waiting for you to book. You can also opt for self-guided trips to access the North Mountain. Book at least ninety days before time.
