Climb Mount Snowdon
Mount Snowdon sits in Snowdonia National Park, with its wild landscapes and beautiful views, it is a breath-taking destination, especially if you are looking for an adventure. Snowdonia is best known for its hiking, but there are also waterfalls and lakes to see. It is a vast area of natural outstanding beauty, and the park covers 838 square miles. If you don’t feel like climbing up the 1,085m summit you can always take the Snowdon Mountain Railway.

- Garn Ganol, 564m
- Penycloddiau, 440m, in the Clwydian Hill, Denbighshire
- Cnicht, 689m, near Croesor village, Gwynedd
- Rhobell Fawr, 734m, north of Dolgellau, Gwynedd
- Moel Hebog, 782m, near Beddgelert, Gwynedd
You may not think that hiking a mountain can be romantic, however the beautiful views across the park as you are walking, are sure to take your breath away, and what better way than to see this than together? Take a picnic or packed lunch, but maybe skip the champagne on this occasion!
Explore the Coastline
North Wales is said to have some of the most spectacular coastal walks in the world. With its dramatic coastline and diverse landscape, it is popular among many. This region has been made for walking and hiking, and is the perfect way to see North Wales from a different angle.
Along the coast you will be able to look out onto the Irish sea, as well as enjoying views across the cliffs. There are many walks, perfect for any couple, either take a leisurely stroll or venture a more intermediate path depending on your abilities. There are a handful of great North Wales caravan parks to stay at whilst visiting this spectacular area., that are just a short distance from many of these paths.
Go below ground in Betws y Coed
For a unique experience in North Wales, you can take a trip down an old mine and abseil into huge underground caverns. Test your nerves by journeying through a mountain with a number of challenges on the way. Zip wire through a cavern, boat across an underground lake, scale a waterfall or abseil your way down to the deepest point in the whole of the UK. This adrenaline pumping activity will be sure to get your hearts racing.
Visit Zip World in Bangor
Another unique activity to experience is Zip World. This activity offers its riders the closest experience to skydiving, without leaping out of a plane! It involves flying head-first for just under a mile whilst exceeding speeds of 100mph down a mountain, over a cliff and above a lake.
As well as a zip line, Zip World always offer a chance for visitors to jump around in an old slate mine. This former mine in Blaenau Ffestiniog lets you bounce from net to net in a cavern the size of a cathedral!
Looking for the ultimate adventure? Set in the Douglas Fir forest, more than 60 feet above ground, you will find the highest Treetop Nets in the world. Its features include the longest net walkway in Europe, winding through 250m of woodland, with large trampoline like nets and tunnels allowing you to run, bounce and leap between connecting tree houses.
