There is something so magical about leaves parading their ‘dying’ colours before they are shed to usher Winter in. Some trees burst into red, burnt orange and fiery hues, others gently fade into a translucent yellow before bowing out. As if this is the moment they’ve waited for their entire leafy lives. In Summer, the sun injected them with life and they just hung around until now, their moment of glory. Some call it Fall, others know it as Autumn but on this day I fell in love with this season in Franschhoek.
All photography is my own other than those credited to Mercia McShane.
Fall is my favourite season! It’s just so colourful 🙂
Unless you’re on a Thai island-there is no season beside Monsoon and Summer. Miss the Autumn colours.
