Travelling provides many of us with a sense of freedom that we are unable to find anywhere else, it can help boost our happiness levels, reduce stress, and allows us to experience different ways of living. One major thing many of us notice when we travel, is how rewarding it feels and how it expands the mind – quite literally. Even if you’re one to enjoy the sun, or you’re one for adventures, good long hikes in nature, travelling has something to offer everyone, no matter your preference.
At first glance, when we think of camping it’s woodlands, darkness, a can of baked beans, and maybe marshmallows burning over an open fire. This might not sound too thrilling for those of us who need a bit of sun, and panoramic views of mountains in the middle of Spain for example, but camping does offer much more than you think. If you’re ready to listen, we’re ready to tell you how!
Camping lets you dive deeper into the outside world, and with lots of fresh air you’ll be able to experience wondrous scents, incredible views and well, plenty of exercise. We know how stressful and time consuming booking a holiday overseas can be, especially when there’s planes and transfers involved, whereas camping and camp sites leaves all of that stress at home. Unless you’re one for organisation and strict daily plans, there is no place to be at any certain time. You don’t need to have lunch at the open buffet at noon, no time frame on when you participate in certain activities – you can choose!
In addition to the few points above, camping also gives you the opportunity to unplug and disconnect, build relationships and confidence within yourself and those around you. Whether you’re contemplating the road trip you discussed with a group of friends last year but never got round to doing anything with it, or you want to make the most out of the new or used caravan you bought a few years back! It provides a truly refreshing break you’ll remember for years to come.
Now that we’ve briefly touched upon the major benefits of camping, we’ve compiled a magnificent list of our top favourite campsites in Europe and don’t worry, we have a selection to suit all!
